Aaron Brook owns and operates Advanced Aviation, Inc. an experimental aircraft builders assist shop in Bend, Oregon. Aaron first worked with Lancair beginning in 1992 in the construction of many of their prototype aircraft including the Lancair ES, Tigress, Legacy, and Evolution. Aaron has more than 19 years of aircraft building experience and also traveled extensively as a building consultant. Assisted by his long-time associate Mike Custard, together they have assisted in the completion of more than 30 aircraft and have implemented many unique innovations that have reduced the time and costs of building and maintaining an experimental aircraft.
Advanced Aviation developed the firewall forward package utilizing the Garrett TPE 331-6 Turbine engine. This engine application in the Lancair IV-P greatly improved the performance and fuel efficiency and can be adapted to most experimental aircraft.
Advanced Aviation prides itself on helping to build the safest and highest quality aircraft possible. Their aircraft have won several awards at the Oshkosh, Sun-n-Fun, and Arlington air shows. Aaron and Mike are both pilots and aircraft owners who understand the importance of flying and owning a safe, reliable aircraft.
We work closely with the aircraft builders to ensure that each plane is customized to their individual tastes and that a safe and dependable aircraft leaves our facility. Our role in the construction process is to provide facilities, equipment, expert advice, and a portion of the actual construction labor. This allows the owner to complete the 51% required for experimental aircraft.
Over the years we have helped construct a wide variety of kits, and now the Lancair Evolution. Give us a call to see how we can help you build one of these amazing planes or any other experimental kit aircraft.
Located on the Bend Oregon airport (KBDN), they operate from an 8000 sq.ft. hanger that you can easily fly into.
